The list of journals published here has been drawn up by the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asian Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This is intended to be an extensive list of academic journals which focus on Translation and Interpreting issues, that is, journals that regularly publish a large number of articles covering this field. Other journals that could also be included are those which deal more generally with different aspects of, or approaches to, linguistics and philology, intercultural communication and discourse analysis, providing they publish a significant volume of articles on translation. Publications which focus on specific languages only have been deliberately excluded as it would be impossible to draw up and maintain a comprehensive inventory that could include them all.
The Humanities Library regularly checks the list of publications to ensure they are still active, and compiles data from the different sources that index them. In addition, the Library provides further information, whenever possible, such as publication standards, open access publishing policies and the location of journals in different catalogues. Before a journal is added to our database, a check is made to ensure it is not a predatory journal.
