ABOUT THE DATA

 CRITERIA FOR INCLUDING JOURNALS

The list of titles appearing on these pages has been drawn up by the Department of Translation and Interpreting and East Asian Studies of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Journals likely to be included in REAO are those dealing explicitly with East Asia as a geographical area as an object of study from different disciplines of knowledge. There are also included those journals dealing with different topics based on specific countries of this area, such as China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea. There are explicitly excluded those publications related to the Pacific, the Middle East and the Southeast Asia.

The Humanities Library regularly checks the list of publications, verifying the activity of each title and compiling data to be indexed from different sources. In addition, the Library provides further information, whenever possible, such as publication standards, open access publishing policies and the location of titles in different catalogues. Before including a title in our database, it was checked it was not in Jeffrey Beall's list of predatory journals.

ABOUT THE INDICATORS

Wherever the journal / database allows, a link will direct you to the source record itself. The pages devoted to each source link to its home page to facilitate direct access to the data.

If a same journal has a different impact rating within the same index depending on the discipline or field of knowledge, then the highest indicator is always given.
