Chinese Studies is an international journal about China and Chinese civilization. The goal of this journal is to provide a platform for social scientists and academicians all over the world to promote scholarship on China and China-related topics. The journal publishes original academic papers including but not limited to those with the following focuses (in alphabetical order): Banking and financial institutions in China, China in a global context, Chinese archeology, Chinese arts (visual arts, audio arts, performance arts, etc.), Chinese business and management, Chinese communities abroad, Chinese culture, Chinese economy, Chinese education, Chinese ethnic minorities, Chinese folklore and folklife, Chinese historical geography, Chinese history, Chinese linguistics, Chinese literature, Chinese media, Chinese philosophy, Chinese politics, Chinese public and academic information resources, Chinese religion, Chinese society, Environmental development in China, Healthcare and welfare in China, Philological study of pre-modern Chinese texts, Rural and/or urban China, Silkroad and Dunhuang Studies, Social and behavioral sciences in China, Taiwan and cross-strait relations, Tourism in China and Women and gender in China.
